  • "One Country, Two Systems" is the cornerstone for the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region where "One Country" is the prerequisite and foundation on which "Two Systems" are implemented. Without "One Country", there will not be "Two Systems". Capture a scene in your daily life in photo that best conveys the above message and write an introduction on the underlying concept.

  • The competition has three categories. The age of participants will be determined as per the date of submission(for online or in-person submission)or postmark(for postal submission).
    • Junior Category (Hong Kong residents aged 9 - 14)
    • Youth Category (Hong Kong residents aged 15 - 24)
    • Adult Category (Hong Kong residents aged 25 or above)

  • Fill in the application form distributed by the organising body or printed from the competition website and submit together with the entry by post or in person to Hong Kong Economic Times, 8/F, Kodak House II, 321 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong (please indicate "We Know ‧ We Treasure Creativity Competition" on the envelope)
  • There are 1 champion, 1 first runner-up, 1 second runner-up, and 10 outstanding awards per competition category

  • All entries for the Photography Competition must be themed on the specified topic, and accompanied by a title and an introduction on the creative concept of no more than 20 and 100 Chinese characters respectively, excluding punctuation marks.
  • Participants are obliged to ensure that the national flag, national emblem, regional flag and/ or regional emblem(if any)appearing in their entries are displayed with dignity and respect and meet relevant legal requirements. Any entry that fails to comply with the relevant legal requirements will be disqualified without notice. Please refer to https://www.protocol.gov.hk/en/flags.html for the relevant legal requirements.
  • Participants shall obtain lawful authority from persons appearing in the photos for uploading to the competition website, relevant websites and social media platforms or use on other occasions for display, promotion or relevant non-profit-making purposes.
  • Participants may edit the photos slightly for brightness and colour saturation adjustments, etc. However, no cropped or composite photos will be accepted.
  • Participants must not add lines, watermarks or patterns to the photos.
  • Participants may use a digital camera or smartphone to take photos at a recommended resolution of at least 12 megapixels. Entries should be saved in JPEG, JPG or PNG format with a file size not exceeding 10 megabytes.
  • For postal submissions, entries should be printed in 4R size(10.2×15.2cm)and, together with a separate piece of paper specifying the title and concept and the duly completed application form, posted to the designated address.
  • All entries must be the participants'original works which have not been published, sold or submitted to other competitions. They must also not contain any advertising content for any product or company, nor infringe the rights of any third party, including rights of intellectual property, confidentiality and privacy. Failure to comply will result in instant disqualification from entering the competition and being awarded.
  • All entries must not contain any obscene, violent, pornographic, defamatory, indecent, insulting, controversial and inappropriate content.
  • Each participant may submit multiple entries but only receive one award at most.
  • The age of participants will be determined as per the date of submission(for online or in-person submission)or postmark(for postal submission).
  • Upon submission of entries, the copyright shall be vested in the organising body. Participants agree and accept that the organising body may publish and publicly display the entries in any format, and produce them in any form, such as being publicly displayed or published in public exhibitions and websites, social networking websites, or publications of organising or funding bodies.
  • For application forms submitted by post, the postmark date on the envelope shall be the date of submission. The organising body shall not be held responsible for any unsuccessful submissions due to loss, delay, misdelivery and insufficient postage, and participants shall bear full responsibility.
  • Upon submission of application forms, participants shall be deemed to have accepted all the terms and conditions of the Creativity Competition.
  • If there is any inconsistency in the details, terms and conditions of the Creativity Competition between the Chinese and English versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
  • The participants'personal data collected will be used only for relevant purposes such as handling competition matters and contacting the winners.
  • The personal data provided by participants will be destroyed within 3 months upon conclusion of the Creativity Competition, excluding the participants' names which will be announced according to the terms and conditions of the Creativity Competition.
  • The results of the Creativity Competition will be announced on the competition website(this website)in due course. Winners will be notified individually
